- Le Quali sert à « comprendre »,
- Le Quanti à « mesurer ».

Vous aurez besoin de l’un ou l’autre, de manière alternative ou complémentaire selon les occasions.
Après ou avant une étude quantitative, vous analysez en profondeur les besoins et les attentes de vos clients sur les différentes facettes de votre offre (Produit, Services, Relations).
Il existe plusieurs sortes d’études qualitatives :
- préalables à des études quantitatives (comprendre pour construire à un questionnaire Quanti),
- postérieures à des études quantitatives (approfondir un point mis en évidence par le quanti),
- études d’images (que pensez-vous de nous, quelles sont toutes le évocations de notre marque, de notre logo, de nos points de vente, etc.),
- études de motivations et de freins à l’achat (entre notre marque et les concurrents). Dans tous les cas, une étude qualitative repose sur un échantillon de taille réduite.
Il existe plusieurs modes de réalisation :
- table ronde (entre 8 et 10 personnes dans la cible)
- entretien individuel (menés en face à face ou par téléphone)
Le Quali ne prend pas en compte la notion de représentativité, mais met l’accent sur la compréhension des attitudes et des motivations individuelles.
